Vintage 1975 Nike Oregon Waffle Trainers, New With Original Box.
Nike began selling Waffle shoes in 1973. The Oregon Waffles were the first model to be sold publicly. The shoe is named for its iconic design, and the fact that Bill Bowerman (Nike’s co-founder) began creating prototypes with his wife’s waffle iron. The design features a lightweight nylon upper. Nubs on the sole increased stabilization, and the edges served to provide traction on multiple surfaces without the need for metal spikes.
Made out of nylon, leather, rubber, and cotton. The tongue label features Nike’s first logo. The Oregon Ducks colorway. Men’s size 7.5.
They are in new condition, but the condition is commensurate of age. Since they’re almost 50 years old, the box is creased. On the shoes, there is glue residue and light marks to the suade. These are a collectors item and not meant to be worn.
If purchased - they will be shipped via UPS express, and safely packaged up so that no damage occurs to the box, or either of the shoes.
